De
Colores!
Thank
you for your continued prayers and support. Thank you for
those who joined us at the CASA and for your warm response, both in
receiving our presentations and in letting us know we have fellow
travelers on the road.
Some
of you are planning to join in the fundraising at a later
date. Some have given very generously of their treasure;
others, of their time and talent. Thanks to each and every
one of you from our hearts to yours. We will see a day when
all Cursillistas can gather at the CASA and joy in the work of the
Lord. Praise and Thanksgiving to our heavenly Father, and may
the Holy Spirit continue to guide us and lead us forward.
Almost
$60,000 was given in cash and pledges during the evening of October
29th, and more is coming with mail-in donations. For those
who are able, we urge you to take advantage of the tax year 2005, since
we can use more cash in the bank to be able to start establishing fire
safety in the convent. (Only some $11,000 so far is cash and
the balance still needs to be transferred from various sources to add
to the total bank account. Pledges are secure for 2006 and
some pledges continue in to 2007.)
Our
goal over the next three years, at this estimate, is
$325,000.00. Much of this depends on variables such as old
plans we can locate and graces we are seeking from the Building
Department of San Francisco (Fr. Dura has already established some of
this in his previous renovation of the Parish Hall). We are
maintaining that the use of the building remains “prayer,
sleep, study, song and meals”. With the current
cash expected we will have $58,556.00 in the Building Fund bank
account. It would be wonderful if we can build that with
continued donations, and completing pledges in to cash, to $100,000 by
Christmas. (Pledge form can be found by clicking on the
“pledge form” link button) What a great
Holiday this can be. We can celebrate the Lord’s
birthday, and the new birth of a permanent Cursillo Center.
Thank
you again for your part in all of this. We truly appreciate
your support, and your expressions of encouragement and love.
We are open to all and any ideas to make this a better experience for
everyone, and a more secure facility for all our communities to share.
